Celebrating Our First-Ever Shine Awards

Let’s be real: when things are moving a mile a minute, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of deadlines. That’s why we started the Shine Awards. Every three months, we hit the pause button to celebrate the people who keep Upgaming at the forefront of the industry.

So, what’s the deal?

Once a quarter, the "Upgaming family" (that’s us) gets to nominate colleagues who have been doing incredible work. Mostly, we’re looking for the human stuff: the teammate who jumps in to help when everyone else is stuck, the one who comes up with a genius solution out of nowhere, or the person whose positive energy is basically a caffeine substitute for the rest of the team.

The First Batch of Legends

The nominations for our first ceremony were… a lot. In a good way! It turns out many people had a lot to say about their coworkers. We saw shout-outs for everything from master-level problem-solving to "being the only person who actually knows how to use the coffee machine" (okay, maybe not that last one, but you get the idea).

To all our first-ever nominees: You’re setting the bar dangerously high, and we love it.

Why we do it

At the end of the day, a platform is only as good as the people building it. The Shine Awards is our way of making sure that hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Plus, it’s a great excuse to cheer for each other and keep the good vibes going.
